Claude Code 2.1.281 hides attribution, checks MCP servers

The switch lives in settings.json as "attribution": false, though older CLIs skip a settings file that holds it, so keep the object form in files shared across versions. The same changelog adds MCP server checks to claude plugin validate, flagging dropped .mcp.json entries and insecure URLs. /insights now estimates how many of your recent permission prompts auto mode could have handled, which settles whether to switch it on.
